Our Saviour’s pastor is Pastor Kenneth Voege. He has served Our Saviour since the summer of 1992, when he graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary in St. Catharines, Ontario and was certified for a call into the Office of the Holy Ministry.
Before entering the seminary to train for the pastoral ministry, Pastor Voege was a school teacher, teaching grade 4 for 1 year in South Florida at a Lutheran day school, high school music in for 5 years in Lutheran high schools in Memphis, Tennessee and Racine, Wisconsin, and high school music for 4 years in a Christian high school in Sarnia, Ontario. Pastor Voege received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary/Secondary Education from Concordia Teachers’ College in River Forest, Illinois (now called Concordia University Chicago).
While in the preaching office at Our Saviour, Pastor Voege studied for the Doctor of Ministry degree through Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He was awarded the degree in 2002. His doctoral dissertation is entitled, “Divine Service Devotion.” It examines the reasons why Christians today should be as the first Christians in Jerusalem were described as being in Acts 2:42 and what factors work against such devotion.
Pastor Voege is married to Rebekah née Kuehn and together they have two sons, Paul and Peter. They also have a cute little doggie named Sebastian who thinks he is a much larger dog than he is.
